In late 2017, The University of Queensland’s Institute of Continuing and TESOL Education (UQ-ICTE) completed a comprehensive strategic planning process to determine its Strategic Direction for 2018 and beyond. In implementation, the Institute has commenced a review of its programs and activities to ensure full alignment with the University and Institute strategy and it has been decided to cease delivery of the Professional Year Programs (Accounting and Engineering).

UQ-ICTE currently has two cohorts completing the Professional Year Program and we are committed to ensuring full completion of those programs as scheduled.  Current cohorts will complete their programs on 24 August 2018 and 8 February 2019 and full course content and internship programs will be delivered as planned.

The Institute’s next Professional Year Program has been advertised to commence on 10 September 2018.  While the Institute has received a number of enquiries for future programs, there are no confirmed enrolments for the next program, so we have decided not to offer that program.

We have provided formal notification to the professional industry bodies for the Professional Year Program and to our current students regarding our decision to cease future delivery of the Professional Year Programs after completion of the current programs.

We are extremely proud of the success of the Professional Year Program (PYP) and its graduates over its 9 years of delivery. This success would not have been possible without your team’s significant commitment and contribution to the program and the students during that time.

We look forward to continuing to work with your team for other programs and enrolments at UQ-ICTE.
