  • Recent CELTA graduates, or other recently trained TESOL teachers, who would like to know more about grammar
  • Applicants enrolled in or thinking of doing a TESOL teacher training course in the future
  • Primary or secondary school teachers who want to develop and improve their understanding of English grammar
  • Anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of English grammar

Course Content

The course is practical with participants engaged in a range of interactive, discovery tasks. It will include the following:

  • parts of speech
  • phrase grammar
  • clause grammar
  • verb forms & modality
  • non-verb grammar
  • text grammar. 

This non-award course has no formal assessment. Participants receive an ICTE-UQ Certificate of Attendance.


15 hours. Classes are held from 1.00pm to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Applicants should be native speakers of English.
