ICTE celebrates 25 years of commitment to NEAS quality assurance

The University of Queensland’s Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE) is celebrating 25 years of continuous commitment to NEAS quality assurance membership, accreditation and endorsement. The Award was featured in a special presentation at a gala dinner at this year’s NEAS Management Conference.

The gala dinner was hosted by Australian comedienne, Jean Kittson, on 10 May in Sydney and held in conjunction with the NEAS 2018 Management Conference. NEAS hosted more than 300 delegates from around the world and the theme of this year’s conference was - Beyond the Digital Revolution in English Language Teaching (ELT). Managers, Director of Studies and Executives gathered to discuss new ideas, network and learn from over 30 speakers from Government and ELT affiliated organisations. 

Four ICTE teachers were speaking at the conference including Paul Forster, Mark Gillow and Henno Kotzé presented on the topic 3D Approach to the Digital (R)Evolution. Vicki Bos presented on the topic Raise Your Voice.

ICTE’s International Diploma in Language Teaching Management (IDLTM), a blended learning program for current or prospective managers in language teaching organisations, was awarded NEAS’s Premium Product Endorsement.

NEAS has been providing accreditation and quality assurance services in English language teaching since 1990. It is a globally recognised body that provides quality assurance services to English Language Teachers and vocational providers in Australia and internationally. The NEAS Quality Assurance Framework establishes and upholds high standards, supports centres in demonstrating quality in their programs and services, and provides guidance in continuous improvement processes.
