Melanie has over nine years work experience in administration, project management and development. Working with UQID since 2013 she has undertaken a variety of roles including Development Assistant and Administrative Support, before becoming a Development Coordinator in 2014.

As Development Coordinator Melanie is responsible for coordinating international development training and capacity building activities within the unit. She is currently focused on development projects and activities in Papua New Guinea, including the design and delivery of an Executive Leadership Program under the Pacific Leadership and Governance Precinct.

Melanie was also heavily involved in Australia Awards Fellowship training for female public servants in the area of Governance and Public Policy, incorporating a Graduate Certificate from the University of Queensland. She has substantial experience supporting the pastoral and logistic aspects of short courses for both Australia Awards and the International Mining for Development Centre.
