Sarah joined the International Development team in 2017, as a Development Assistant, supporting Development Coordinators with Short Course administrative and logistical needs.

Sarah has almost ten years of experience working at The University of Queensland in a variety of roles spanning student services, translation and interpreting, teaching, and project management. Prior to her appointment with International Development, she provided administrative and project management support for the delivery of language classes, translation and interpreting services to individual, corporate and government clients.

Sarah has a PhD in gender and cultural studies, with a particular focus on China, has taught Chinese-English translation and cross-cultural communication and has previously worked with Chinese and Japanese students on UQ-ICTE’s short-term study programs, providing language and welfare support to participants.
