She has worked extensively with overseas trained teachers and university academics and is also a CELTA teacher trainer and moderator for Cambridge Assessment English.

Philippa’s current position at UQ-ICTE primarily involves the design, management and delivery of practical training for teachers of English and academic content (CLIL/EMI) for onshore and offshore clients. Philippa presents regularly at national and international conferences and represents UQ-ICTE in the delivery of offshore training workshops.

In 2016, Philippa initiated and delivered a voluntary teaching project in Medellin, Colombia.  She worked in a disadvantaged neighbourhood, teaching young people the skills, including English language skills, so they can give English-speaking visitors a walking tour of their neighbourhood.
