Paul has worked as a TESOL language teacher since 2000 in Japan and Australia. He is involved in training on professional development programs for overseas teachers of English, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) programs, and English for Academic Preparation (EAP) courses.

Paul has a passion for integrating technology in the classroom and has conducted professional development sessions on interactive whiteboards and the use of mobile devices in learning with teachers from Chile, China and Korea.

In 2012, Paul presented and conducted a workshop on practical tools and ideas for the digital language classroom at the Colombian Ministry of Education’s National Bilingualism Conference in Higher Education in Bogota. He also presented on the topic of mobile devices at the Community Languages and ESOL (CLESOL) 2012 conference in New Zealand, and the English Australia Conference in Melbourne, 2014.
