Andrew has been a TESOL language teacher since 1999 and a CELTA teacher trainer since 2004. He has taught English in Turkey, Italy, England and Australia, worked in academic management as a director of studies, been an editor of a magazine for teachers (International House Journal of Education and Development) and worked with pre- and in-service English language teachers.
Andrew first joined ICTE-UQ in 2008, working on teacher training programs and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses. Later he went to work in the UK, where he was a senior lecturer and course leader for the Pre-Sessional Academic English course at London Metropolitan University. On returning to Australia in 2014, Andrew rejoined ICTE-UQ and has worked on CELTA courses, EAP programs and English Language Teaching Methodology programs.
Andrew has particular interests in EAP and Teacher Education and Development. He is currently working on his PhD at Lancaster University, investigating second language writing development on university preparation courses.
