Renee Winton is the Manager, Business Development at UQ-ICTE and has been involved in the international ELICOS sector for the past 10 years.

Renee currently oversees the Institute’s engagement in Japan, Europe and Indonesia in addition to managing the day to day operations of the market development team. She previously managed the Institute’s activities in China.  

As an industry professional, Renee’s proven experience includes international business development, relationship building, strategic marketing and communications.

Prior to her appointment with UQ-ICTE, she worked as the National Foundation Manager for Ernst and Young and at the Securities Institute of Australia as the International Delivery Manager coordinating international aid projects with the Asian Development Bank, World Bank and AusAid agencies.

Originally Renee trained as a primary school teacher and has taught in both Brisbane and London.


Renee is currently on the management committee of the Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QJCCI).
