The experiences I had at ICTE-UQ are unforgettable for me. At ICTE-UQ I learnt practical English in an interactive classroom environment, where we didn’t only listen to what our teacher said, but discussed topics, spoke about our countries and asked many questions. The style is more active and attractive than usual, and I learnt not only academic skills but communication skills.
I now have a better understanding of my English level. I hadn’t had a chance to use English in formal occasions before. I now understand my strengths and what I need to improve on. This has given me more confidence, with English and my knowledge of global issues.
At the Japanese university, my major focuses on global social economic problems. My goal is to become a reporter or to find a job where I can report on the world’s social economic issues. Next year I will join the Asia Pacific Cities Summit which will give me the chance to get a better overview on social problems in an international environment.
I have two more years till I graduate from Kobe University, and I will continue to make an effort to achieve my next goal making use of what I learned at ICTE-UQ.
