Different insurance arrangements apply depending on your visa.
If you are coming to Australia on a Student Visa, you must purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) (unless you are from Sweden or Norway).
OSHC provides basic insurance cover for medical and hospital care costs. We can arrange OSHC on your behalf with our preferred provider, Allianz Global Assistance.

Students studying on a Tourist Visa, Working Holiday Visa or other visa are recommended to purchase private health and travel insurance. This is to cover themselves and their belongings, while travelling to, around and from Australia, while staying in homestay or other accommodation for the duration of their course of study and their time in Australia.
