Learning Centre and Libraries
The Centre has a wide range of the latest study materials for students to use and borrow including:
- books, magazines, newspapers and journals
- CDs and DVDs
- IELTS preparation materials
- ICTE-UQ course lesson books.
The ICTE-UQ Learning Centre also contains specialised TESOL methodology and teaching resource materials for teachers of English as a second language.
The Learning Centre is also a quiet place for you to study, listen to tapes and CDs or watch a DVD.

Monday-Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am - 4pm
Up to 12 items (books, cassettes, magazines, videos) for two weeks at a time. Use your ICTE-UQ Student Card to borrow materials.
Put the items you are returning in the RETURNS slot outside the Learning Centre.
Continuing students can borrow items over the session break. Borrowing during the December - January holiday period is not available.
UQ Library has one of the largest collections amongst academic libraries in Australia and by far the largest in Queensland.
ICTE-UQ students have significant access and borrowing rights at UQ Library. You have access to all UQ Library's eResources and can borrow an unlimited number of general items at a time.

Locations and hours
To borrow items, go to the helpdesk (AskUs service point) on level 1 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Library and ask to activate your account. You will need to provide your Australian contact details.
