ICTE Student Leadership

The ICTE Student Leadership program provides opportunities for ICTE students to develop improved connections and a sense of community amongst all ICTE students.  

    The program has three main areas:

    • ICTE Connect Leaders
    • Orientation Leaders
    • Activities and Event Leaders

    How to Register

    Use our online form to register your interest in becoming an ICTE Leader.

     

    ICTE Connect is a new online community. Students can join groups to meet others with similar interests, develop new friendships and make the most of their time at ICTE.

    ICTE Connect Leaders manage an online group, assisting students to interact with each other, share their own experiences and organise activities or events for groups to meet and interact.  

    Leaders must have studied at ICTE for a minimum of 5 weeks in BEP, EAP, EIBC or General English Level 5 or 6 class.  Previous ICTE Students now studying at UQ are also welcome to apply.

    Help new students settle in during the first week of their course. 

    Leaders will lead a campus tour for new students, support ICTE orientations and help to organise an activity or event for new students. They will also share their experiences of studying at ICTE and be prepared to answer questions.

    Leaders must have studied at ICTE for a minimum of 5 weeks in BEP, EAP, EIBC or General English Level 5 or 6 class.  Previous ICTE students now studying at UQ are also welcome to apply.

    Use our online form to register your interest in becoming an Orientation Volunteer with ICTE.

     

    Learn new skills by helping us organise activities! Leaders will help to deliver activities and events for other ICTE students and may be involved in:

    • Running weekly activity sessions such as sport, cooking or picnics
    • Planning and delivering exciting new activities 
    • Designing the ICTE Activities calendar
    • Promoting activities to students
    • Providing feedback to help us improve activities. 

    Leaders must have studied at ICTE for a minimum of 5 weeks in BEP, EAP, EIBC or General English Level 5 or 6 class. Previous ICTE Students now studying at UQ are also welcome to apply.
