Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is an internationally recognised approach to teaching both a language and subject content at the same time, for example teaching chemistry content using English as the medium of instruction.
ICTE has extensive experience and expertise in developing and delivering CLIL training programs. We have assisted educators from more than 19 universities and government agency partners in Brazil, China, Ecuador, France, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam to develop skills and strategies for teaching academic content in English.

Why CLIL at ICTE?
The University of Queensland's Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE) has delivered CLIL training to education professionals across the globe since 2009.
Our CLIL programs support participants to:
- enhance their ability to teach academic course content in English
- develop teaching materials that engage learners and support their learning of content and language
- use practical skills and techniques to effectively manage the learning process.
The program supports universities to:
- attract international students to campus through the increased delivery of courses taught in English
- enhance the English language level of local students and prepare them for their own study abroad experience
- develop their internationalisation strategy and vision.
"The course is useful not only to improve teaching in English but also to improving teaching in general.”
