If you are a teacher of English or an aspiring teacher of English, the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) will interest you. Growing in international recognition, the TKT is not a teaching qualification but an assessment instrument from Cambridge English designed to test your knowledge about the teaching of English to speakers of other languages. It is the perfect way to begin (or refresh!) your teaching career. The TKT focuses on the core teaching knowledge needed by English teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners anywhere in the world.

TKT test modules can be taken together in one exam session or separately, in any order, in different exam sessions. Each test module lasts 80 minutes and consists of 80 multiple choice questions. Find out more about the modules at Cambridge English Teaching Knowlege Test.

Candidates can prepare for the TKT test by following a preparation course or through individual reading and study.  We offer a 5 or 10 week English for Specific Purposes:TESOL course that will help you prepare for selected modules of the TKT.
