University of Queensland St Lucia campus tours

ICTE will arrange St Lucia campus tours for groups visiting Brisbane to see Queensland's first University.

Set on 114-hectares The University of Queensland - St Lucia Campus features beautiful sandstone architecture, jacaranda trees and lakes, along with teaching and research facilities.

To compliment your tour, choose from lunch options, English conversation or a Lecture with one of the Universities lecturing staff in areas such as:

A guided tour of The University of Queensland with UQ Student Guides.

English Conversation

1-hour English Conversation with UQ Students, with the option of an ESL Teacher running the session.


Lunch (BYO packed lunch/own cost) accompanied by UQ Student Guides. Lunch vouchers or kitchen facilities are not able to be provided.


A lecture with a qualified UQ presenter (choose one of the topics outlined in the booking form).

Prices listed are for tours which occur during UQ teaching semester dates (Mon 19 Feb – Fri 2 June 2018; Mon 23 July – Fri 27 Oct 2018).

Due to the popularity of tours, we are unable to accommodate requests for variations to the tour options including UQ students to participant ratios. The number of tours that can be offered on any one day is limited. We will not be able to accept further bookings once a day is fully booked.

Block out dates are Mon 19 Feb –Fri 23 Feb and Mon 23 Jul –Fri 27 Jul, please note we are unable to accept bookings for these days. Please contact us directly for a quote to book tours outside of these dates. Tours are conducted only on weekdays, excluding Australian public holidays.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Campus Tours are an outdoor activity and participants are required to have adequate sun protection and wear enclosed shoes.
  2. A signed booking form must be received to confirm your campus tour booking. No arrangements will be made until this is received.
  3. All campus tour prices include 10% GST.
  4. It is a condition of acceptance that all participants will carry appropriate travel and medical / health insurance.
  5. Campus tours must be booked at least 20 business days in advance.
  6. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations outside 48 hours will be subject to discussion between parties.
  7. UQ Student Guide ratio is approximately 1:25 visiting students and 1:6 for English conversation (subject to availability).
    UQ Student Guides are there in a guiding capacity only; participants remain under the responsibility and care of accompanying staff at all times.
  8. In the event that the group arrives late, please note the UQ Student Guides may not be available to stay longer than the scheduled tour time.
  9. In the event that the group arrives early, please note that the tour will commence at the scheduled start time as per the itinerary. Itineraries are sent in advance and any changes to be made must be done in advance. No changes may be made on the day of the tour.
  10. Groups are expected to call and notify the ESI Office in the case of late arrivals or sudden cancellations.
  11. If participant numbers are larger than 95, a specialised quote will need to be created.
  12. Groups smaller than the minimum 10PAX will be required to pay the minimum fee for their tour.
  13. In the event of rain or bad weather, ESI will liaise with the client for rescheduling/other arrangements.
