Ms Vicki Bos has been a TESOL language teacher and teacher trainer at the Institute of Continuing & TESOL* Education at The University of Queensland (ICTE) since 2001.

Ms Bos has a wide variety of English teaching experience.  She has taught children of all ages (pre-primary to secondary) and adults of all levels (beginner to advanced).  She has spent time teaching English in Japan, Chile and Macau, in a range of public and private educational institutions.  In Australia, she delivers classes to students from around the world, including such diverse countries as Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil and Indonesia.

She currently works mainly as a teacher trainer, conducting courses in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and English & Methodology for Teaching Purposes (EMTP) for educators, both in Australia and overseas. She has special interests in vocabulary learning, assessment writing, action research and language learning through music. She has a number of publications on these topics, and frequently delivers conference papers and professional development sessions related to her research. In 2012, Ms Bos received a Special Commendation in the English Australia/Cambridge University Action Research awards for her action research project on the design and implementation of a pronunciation intervention program. In 2014, she won the English Australia Award for Contribution to Professional Practice for her conference paper on improving productive skills through choral singing. She is the founder and conductor of the ICTE Chorus, a choir for international university students in Brisbane.
