Henno Kotzé has been a TESOL Language Teacher at UQ-ICTE since 2009 and is currently Senior Teacher - Technology & Independent Learning.  Having previously taught in Vietnam and South Africa, his key interests lie in using educational technology to enhance the student experience, supporting teachers in embracing technology in their teaching and the future of learning, including immersive technologies. For the last three years, he has been a course writer on IELTSx, the pioneering exam-preparation MOOC, ranked “25th Most Popular MOOC of All Time” with over 600,000 enrolments to date and has presented on ed-tech, digital learning and MOOCs at conferences. As an ex-journalist, his other interests include feature writing, reading, and he is fluent in Afrikaans. At the NEAS 2018 Conference, he will be presenting on ed-tech teacher professional development as a key to embracing the digital evolution of language learning and teaching
